HALF DAY FISHING TRIP
Half day Salmon charters are the perfect trip for Cruise ship passengers. We follow the fish and in a 4 hour half day charter, we do what is necessary to be on the Salmon. Thousands of King Salmon , Pink Salmon , Coho Salmon , and Chum Salmon migrate through Ketchikan local Inside Passage. Ketchikan is on the inside islands of Southeast Alaska , meaning that our waters are very protected and typically calm. Aurora Sportfishing 4 hour charters typically take us to either Mountain Point or Blank Island. However if the fishing on the North end of town is better we will make the run there. Run times are as short as 10 minutes to 40 minutes from the dock. These trips start in early May through June for King Salmon. As the summer progresses we fish for Pink Salmon in July and August. Coho Salmon and Chum Salmon are also targeted July through September. We are dealing with Salmon migration patterns, therefore speak with your captain to find dates that work best for you.
Half day Salmon charters have a stocked galley. Soda, water, and snacks are included, because we know the cruise ships have tourists on a strict eating regime. We supply all fishing gear, rain gear, etc. Fishing licenses are sold onboard. Our boats have heated cabins, private head (toilet), and everything to keep you safe and comfortable for 4 hours. Dress accordingly for the weather you see when disembarking the Cruise Ship. Basically bring your group and a camera, pictures last forever.
P.S. don't bring any bananas, they are bad luck!!

FULL DAY FISHING TRIP
Full day fishing trips can be your choice of Bottom-fishing , Salmon trolling, setting crab pots, or a combination. The areas we fish on full days can be 5 to 50 miles from Ketchikan, depending on where the fish are. The Never Enough cruises at 20 knots (23 MPH). The Never Enough is big and comfortable so the ride to and from the fishing grounds are safe and secure. The full day trips can be a bit of a boat ride, but the fishing away from town can be amazing. While traveling away from town we target species such as Yelloweye Rockfish (Red Snapper), Ling Cod , Rockfish , Halibut , Salmon , then occasionally pull Dungeness Crab pots . Though Salmon fishing close to town can be very productive, the bottomfishing is better away from town. Fishing times on a full day require us to leave the dock as early as 7 a.m. and return as late as 5 p.m. Full days allow us to do a lot of fishing and focus on acquiring limits of several types of fish. Again we are chasing fish, therefore speak with Captain Tony to find dates that work for your group. Lets book a trip, that makes you want to come back every year!!
Full day trips also have a fully stocked galley. Soda, water, snacks, and a lunch are provided. Alcohol is permitted. Captain Tony doesn't allow completely drunk individuals however!! Most full day groups have either fished with us previously or are very informed about what to expect.
P.S. also don't bring bananas, they are still bad luck!!
