COHO "silver" SALMON
In Ketchikan we fish for Coho Salmon (silvers) July through September. Alaska coho salmon average 6-18 pounds and measures 2-2.5 feet long. Abundant and plentiful in Southeast Alaska during their late summer run, silver salmon are the acrobats of the salmon family. The awesome thing about Coho Salmon is you can fill your fish tote with them. When you switch from hunting for a few King Salmon, to catching up to 36 Coho in a few hours, that is fun! Coho trolling can be full tilt, hooking 4-6 fish at one time. Nothing like Captain Tony yelling over and over "Grab that rod, hurry!"
limit
The non-resident limit on Alaska silver salmon fishing is six (6) per person per day, with no annual limit.
